Driving directions from Puerto Plata International Gregorio Luperón Airport: From the airport, turn left onto Calle Sosúa. Following the hotel signs, turn left into the neighborhood of El Batey. The hotel is on the left.

Getting there: The easiest way is by taxis which charge fares of $5–$15. Rental cars are also available for more than $36. Fees subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available online.

Getting around: El Batey is a touristy area with plenty of gift shops and restaurants around the hotel so walking may be the best way to get around. Although the public buses which stop near the hotel are cheap (fares to Puerto Plata are less than $5), they are slow. Taxis cost more (fares to Puerto Plata are $26–$35) but are faster. For shorter wanderings, complimentary bicycles are available from the hotel and motorcycles can be rented next door for $26–$35 a day. Fees subject to change without notice.

El Acantilado - This open-air place serves as Casa Marina Reef's international-style buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Sea Scape – Fresh seafood is the specialty for afternoon snacks and dinner (reservations required).

Luigi – A la carte Italian fare for dinners only (reservations required).

El Jalapeno - This open-air restaurant on the Reef side serves fast foods and tropical drinks during the day and specializes in ŕ la carte Mexican cuisine at dinner. Reservations required.

El Batey - This open-air place serves as Casa Marina Beach's international-style buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A la carte dining is available at Sea Scape, Jalapeno, and Luigi Restaurants for dinner (reservations required).

Between them, the two resorts contain 10 bars, including one in Calipso Disco that remains open until 3 AM, but is not part of the All-Inclusive Plan.

Room service is not available.

Amenity highlights: An international cast of sun-seekers from both resorts gathers at this resort's large, free form pool for games and sports. The Beach resort's two pools--one large with a children's section and one small--are set aside as "quiet pools" for guests of both resorts. The beach provides lots of palm trees for shade and a children's playground.

Insider tip: Wrought-iron benches arrayed on a spacious flagstone terrace between this resort's pool and its sunning terraces welcome romantic couples for moonlit interludes-with-a-sea-view.
